Description David Partain 2008-03-04 10:44:46 UTC
Version: 1.9.9 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Compiled From Sources
Compiler: gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20070115
OS: Linux

Greetings,

I use kmail 1.9.9 using KDE 3.5.9 compiled from branches/KDE/3.5/. I just updated kdelibs and kdebase as well.

Sending a M$ Word file via kmail no longer works. If I do the following:

1. Send the file to myself
2. from the sent-mail folder, I save the attachment from the message I just sent.
3. If I run "cmp file-I-attached file-I-saved-from-sent-mail", they differ and should not. Furthermore, if I open the original in openoffice, it works fine, whereas the file I saved from sent-mail is garbage.

When I receive the file back by mail and save it, it's identical to what is in sent-mail (as it should be) and is (of course) also garbage.

Exactly the same problem happens if I send a zip file.

Thanks.

David

Hi,

This seems to be fixed by SVN commit 782964 by vkrause in branches/kdepim/enterprise/kdepim/kmail and needs to be put into the 3.5 branch as well (if it hasn't already).

Cheers,

David
