Version:           2.0 (using 4.0.1 (KDE 4.0.1), compiled sources)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.24.2-bitchy

There is no way to type anything, theres not writing, no prompt no nothing, this is a fresh compile of KDE4, done today.

Hello,

Can you start Konsole from another terminal (eg. xterm) and see if any error messages are displayed as Konsole starts up?
