Version: 3.5.9 (using 3.5.9, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.9-0ubuntu1~gutsy1~ppa1) Compiler: Target: x86_64-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22-14-generic The old way with reoccurrence in a tab was better. The new extra dialog means that one line was added to the general tab of the event editor, making it bigger. In addition, the text content on the new line is questionable. "No reocurrence [ Edit... ]" particularly does not make sense (although one can guess what to do). The most annoying part of the problems is that exception dates isn't fully shown in the new extra dialog.
The exception dates part of the dialog look ok to me.. at least in KDE4. Is this still a problem for you? I definitely think we need a better string on the button than [Edit]. Suggestions? The other thing I just noticed is To-do editor still has the old Recurrence tab. So either we need to put the Recurrence tab back on the Event editor, or we need to put an [Edit Recurrence] button on the To-do editor as well. For the sake of consistency. We had a usability person help design the new Event editor, so I'm a bit hesitant to put back the Recurrence tab.. not knowing why things were done this way.
Yes, the exceptions widget looks OK here too, using KDE 4.1 in danish. As for the button, "Configure" or "Change" maybe?
The problem with the button text is that the sentense changes, if reoccurrence is used 'Reoccurs weekly [edit]' for example works. The challenge is to make it work in all cases :)
I think we can close this bug. Anders, please check the screen shots attached to bug 88662. Imo the recurrence editting has seen major improvements, to be released with KDE SC 4.6
Fixed for 4.6. We have new incidence editors now.
