Version: (using KDE 4.0.1) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux When you change the plasma panel to be in the left or the right (in vertical position), the panel icons don't adapt to the new position. The result. the clock don't fit and only show hours the lock, log out is in vertical position instead in horizontal the pager miss the desktops 2 and four, the icons are shown in vertical position instead of being rotated 90 degrees, etc
worksforme... some applets could behave better, but I'm not seeing any of the brokenness you mention. I think this was fixed in trunk.

Well, here is an screenshot attached. look: Clock do not fit Battery still vertical instead of being rotated 90 degree lock / logout, the same of battery pager, the same of clock system tray simply has dissapeared
Created attachment 24431 [details] bad rendering of panel It is also in KDE 4.0.3,
Created attachment 24432 [details] bad rendering blue zone under panel
Created attachment 24433 [details] bad rendering white zone under panel. It is in KDE 4.0.3 version
Seeing the same in KDE 4.0.4 (using Kubuntu). Also, the pop-up box for the New Devices notifier (when you click on it or plug a device in) tries to show itself with the right edge aligned to the icon, so most of it is off the screen.
With 4.1 just around the corner, it's time to close off 4.0 bugs. In the off chance that I'm wrong in believing this to be fixed in 4.1, please reopen. :)
Created attachment 25916 [details] snapshot in 4.1beta2 This bug is still here in KDE 4.1beta2 to some extent. See for instance the launcher icons, which could easily have been resized. So it is for the desktop changer, the systray icons (not centered), and in fact all the other plasmoids. When in the contrary I make the panel larger than normal, every plasmoid occupy the space nicely, excepted the K-menu, launcher and new hardware icons which keep their default size. After putting the panel back to the horizontal, the bug remains. Therefore, I believe this not a problem with the vertical positon, but rather with the fact of changing the orientation. Is this the bug we initially spoke about, or should a new report be filled ?
