Description Roman Snitko 2008-02-27 15:15:57 UTC
Version: 0.12 (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

If I send message to a jabber user, and if it consists of few new lines (\n) they all join into one single line in the chat window. What is interesting - the recipient sees it okay, splitted into lines as expected. And there's also no such bug with icq. Didn't check other protocols, because I don't use them.

The bug was noticed in versions < 0.12 as well.

This seems OK for me in recent SVN (r828586) - the line breaks are shown correctly for incoming and outgoing messages. Perhaps this depends on the theme you're using - have you tried with any other chat window theme?

works for me too, tested with philip
Comment 3 Roman Snitko 2008-07-06 15:08:57 UTC
Yeah, tried with other themes. And I also moved to Ubuntu now, same thing here. Except that I was wrong, saying this only happens with jabber accounts, icq accounts also has this thing.

It sounds like this bug is fixed now. If it's not, please reopen.
