Version: (using KDE 3.5.9) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux When resizing the "select wallpaper" file open dialog of KDesktop while it displays the preview of an image, some UI elements are hidden behind the lower panel of the dialog. Steps to reproduce: 1) Right-click on the KDE Desktop and select "configure desktop" 2) In the "configure" dialog, select "background" on the left side and "picture" on the right side. 3) Click on the folder icon for selecting a new background image. 4) Make sure "Automatic preview" is checked. 5) Resize the dialog to its non-minimum size. 6) Select a jpg image 7) Resize it down to its minimum size Now the lower part of the UI elements on the middle panel (scrollbar, automatic-preview & preview button) are covered by the lower panel (location, filter, ...) --------- I'm running KUbuntu Hardy, Qt: 3.3.7 KDE: 3.5.9 KDE Daemon: $Id: kded.cpp 711061 2007-09-11 09:42:51Z tpatzig $

Created attachment 23714 [details] Screenshot of image preview dialog (with UI elements hidden after resize)
Here using: Qt: 4.5.1 (qt-copy 960517) KDE: 4.2.71 (KDE 4.2.71 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090428)) kdelibs svn rev. 963904 / kdebase svn rev. 963904 on ArchLinux i686 - Kernel 2.6.29.1 The image preview is resized properly according to the dialog size and the preview panel size (adjustable with slider) However the minimum size is the dialog is wrong as it shows some weird behaviour (scrollbars of the filelist drawing bad over the filelist itself). But I guess this is a different bug.
