Version: (using KDE 3.5.7) Installed from: Mandriva RPMs OS: Linux Bugzilla 2.16 (as well as Bugzilla 2.18) are EOL for months, meaning that they get no security fixes any longer. You should really upgrade to the most recent Bugzilla release: 3.0.3 (or if you wait a few more weeks: 3.0.4, which enters QA these days). Bugzilla 3.0.x also has much better capabilities and a complete separatation between backend and frontend, which should highly help in customizing it. It also supports mod_perl, which may be a useful feature for an installation like yours.
Porting to the new Bugzilla is already in progress.
