It would be nice if okular would allow me to extract jpegs from a pdf file if it contained any.

Mike,

Can you explain how this might work?

Perhaps if you can tell us what you're trying to do, we can use that to scope out the problem? That is, what do you want the images for (in your particular situation)?

Anything else you can tell us would help here. For example, are you trying to just get a single image, a directory full of JPEG images, or some selection?

Brad

Hi Brad,

It would be nice if Okular had a dialog box where I could browse through the rasters found in an entire PDF document or in a range of pages. From there it would be great if I could export these images to a directory.

EXAMPLE: A friend sends you a single PDF with x photos in it. You would like to send a couple to be printed, you cant upload PDFs and cropping a screen shot would not be ideal. With this feature you could simply export the JPEG data contained within the PDF and send the images off for printing.

I'm sure others can find other needs to export the JPEG data from PDF files, but I can't remember my original need for this feature! :)

I hope that helps, Mike.
