Description Daniele 2008-02-22 20:17:08 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

Compiling KDE 4 from sources, If I open Konsole and press tab key three or for times (quickly) the konsole freeze. The only thing that I can do is to kill konsole with xkill.

Hello,

You may be experience the same problem as the reporter of bug #157965. Could you have a look at the comments there and see if you have the same symptoms?

Does pressing the Backspace key at an empty prompt cause the same problem?
Comment 2 Daniele 2008-02-25 15:16:51 UTC
Hi Robert,

Yes. Konsole freeze also with the backspace key.
Comment 3 Robert Knight 2008-02-25 16:59:02 UTC
Okay. There is presumably a problem loading the knotify daemon to emit a "bell" sound. I think this is a known issue.

Changing the Notification settings to do nothing on the "Bell in visible session" event (via Settings -> Configure Notifications) may help.
Comment 4 Daniele 2008-02-25 17:03:21 UTC
Robert, I think you are right. I'm notice a freeze also traying to deactivate audio system on System settings / Notification options...
