kslideshow only shows a blank screen, no matter what mode it runs in: root, demo, setup.

Running it from the command line I get messages such as these:
QPainter::begin: Widget painting can only begin as a result of a paintEvent

QPainter: bitBlt only works when source is of type pixmap

Those are the two most common messages. Rarely, I get some like these:
QPainter::begin: Cannot paint on a null pixmap

QPainter::end: Painter not active, aborted


Other screen savers seem to work fine; only this one gives me trouble.

I am running KDE 4.0.1 on Kubuntu Hardy Beta 3. Let me know if you need further information.

fixed for kde 4.0.4 and 4.1.
