Description Iñaki Baz Castillo 2008-02-18 20:04:32 UTC
Version: 1.9.6 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405) (using 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3.1)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

Kontact Versión 1.2.4 (enterprise 0.20070907.709405).

I press in a web link on a mail body and Konqueror (default browser) doesn't appear. The small icon of Konqueror appears jumping, but nothing else occurs. This occurs since a upgrade days ago.

Anyway it works if I press in a http link for a image (then Gwenview appears), but it doesn't work if the document type should be open by Konqueror.

Your system is probably misconfigured. Either Konqueror does not work correctly or the mimetype settings are wrong.
KMail just uses the general "KRun" function to start external apps for URL links.
It is highly unlikely that this is a problem with KMail.
Your mimetype settings can be found by starting "kcmshell filetypes"

Opsss, the problem occurs after installing the KDE4 packages in Kubuntu Gutsy. After it when I run "kopete" it's open Kopete-kde4 (while it should be open just if I run "/usr/lib/kde4/bin/kopete").
Also if I press a url link in Kmail I see the konqueror-kde4 small icon jumping (but nothing occurs).
After unistalling Konqueror-kde4 the problem dissapears.

Thanks, it was no a failure of Kmail, I'm sorry.
