Description Pavel Zheltobryukhov 2008-02-18 19:08:25 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.1)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

After last upgrade I got 1 pixel transparent line at the bottom of panel with 2 transparent rectangles at the left and right sides of panel. Windows effects are on.

Panel screenshot

Look at the bottom of screenshot - thin blue line is a wallpaper. Also, look at
the left and right sides of panel - the wallpaper colors seen there too.

Same problem here with enabled desktop effects.
Comment 3 Thomas Georgiou 2008-02-18 21:35:37 UTC
This is a qt bug. It is fixed in Qt 4.4. I would close this, but I cant.
Comment 4 Sebastian Sauer 2008-02-18 22:56:46 UTC
I can still reproduce this with 4.4 but only if the panel is at the top or at the right.

Duplicate of http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=158824 ?
(in Kubuntu 4.0.1 the panel-config has not yet been backported)
Comment 6 Sebastian Sauer 2008-03-07 21:27:32 UTC
Hi Cornelius,

I guess this are 2 different issues since bug #158824 is cause of the SvgPanel and there those SVG that is used to draw the background is just not drawn correct.
The issue this report is about, is that somehow the border of the panel are not correct calculated.
Indicator that this are 2 different issues is, that the problem described here is only visible with the default theme while with the "Slim Glow" theme it's for me not visible + as described at comment #4 this is/was still reproducable with Qt4.4 while bug #158824 is fixed with Qt4.4.
Comment 7 Rafał Miłecki 2008-04-10 14:40:46 UTC
Can anyone reproduce this with current SVN? There were some panel and containment improvements lately. Maybe this was fixed?
Personally I've never experienced this problem.

With 4.1 just around the corner, it's time to close off 4.0 bugs. In the off chance that I'm wrong in believing this to be fixed in 4.1, please reopen. :)
