Description Gabriele Tozzi 2008-02-14 20:10:36 UTC
Version: 0.12.7 (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

Hello,

when I do:
dcop kopete KopeteIface setGlobalPhoto /tmp/fileajeoqo.jpg

then command executes correctly, no error is given and dcop exit status is 0.

/tmp/fileajeoqo.jpg exists and is is a 96x96 JPEG Image:
bodom@hell:~$ file /tmp/fileajeoqo.jpg
/tmp/fileajeoqo.jpg: JPEG image data, JFIF standard 1.01

Global identity is enable.

When i run this command, simply nothing happens: my global photo is left unchanged.
Same happens trying to load different image files.

Thank you.

Kopete is using D-Bus now instead of DCOP (like the rest of KDE) and the way the photo handling works has changed. If the D-Bus method setIdentityPhoto on org/kde/kopete/MainApplication interface doesn't work, please open a new bug. Thanks!
