Description Sven Kloe 2008-02-11 23:13:56 UTC
Version: 0.12.7 (using KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

If the Style "Clean" ist selected, the rendered TeX picture doesn't appear. A change of the Style (ie to clear, gaim, hacker, konqi, Kopete) immediatly show the Formula.
btw: I use the German translation, maybe "style" is called "theme" in english.

Note: the black background might be caused because I'm using the Obsidian Coast
color scheme.

From all appearances, this bug appears to be fixed in 0.12.5 in the KDE 3.5.9 branch. However, testing of this bug in the 4.x series reveals some bugs in the way themes are initialized in Kopete.

1. Load Kopete and select "Clean" color scheme. Quit Kopete.
2. Select "Obsidian Coast" color scheme in KDE.
3. Load Kopete and send some TEX. (e.g., $$a^2+b^2=c^2$$)
4. You should see something like attachment 25580 [details].
5. Notice that switching color schemes in Kopete has no effect on this.
6. Quit Kopete.
7. Repeat 1-6 with the "Oxygen" color scheme in KDE. (attachment 25583 [details])
7. Finally, load Kopete with the "Oxygen" color scheme and select "Clean" in Kopete. Then, while Kopete is running, select "Obsidian Coast. (attachment 25581 [details]).

In comment #4, I stated the version was 0.12.5. I meant to say 0.12.7.

Ugh. In comment #4, I also pointed to the wrong bugs.
