Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux Is it possible to remove the dark background of the icons on the desktop (like here: http://news.opensuse.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/02/kde4live.png), so that you only have the icon and the name under it ? It doesn't look good if the icon-squares are all in different sizes. Could this be done with a different theme or is that a plasma applet issue?
It is a temporary settings until we (I?) implement a "halo" effect around the icon text a la kde3.
Ok, good to know. Will have a look at SVN :)
it would be nice to have the power to choose how do you want your(s) icon(s). but too many options scare people :)
it seems like the suse live cd fixed that issue (http://home.kde.org/~binner/kde-four-live/KDE-Four-Live.i686-1.0.4.png) but in other live cds (e.g. fedora) there is still a dark background. Is it possible to include the suse fix in mainstream kde?
