Description Markus Elfring 2008-01-27 10:11:24 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I see a white or light grey flickering display around the moving icons when I drag items from the dialogue "Add widgets" over the blue background.

Examples:
1. Analog/Digital Clock
2. Application Launcher
3. News Ticker
4. Show Desktop

I'm sorry but there's not much we can do about this problem. :\
With Qt 4.4 things could possibly get better, although I'm not really sure about that.
The cause of this has to be researched deeper, in the X.org land, and in its architecture.
Running a composited window manager (enable desktop effects) should make the artifact disappear anyways.

Closing as 'invalid' because we can't really do much about this.
Thanks for the bugreport anyways. =)

Did I observe a behaviour that is known by GUI software developers for KDE 4?
Is there any relationship to the document "COMPOSITE_HOWTO"?
