Description jerome 2008-01-26 20:38:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux

Hello(excuse me for my uggly english)

I'm using Blender(3D modeler), and in kde4 when I try to select some vertex like pressing B key twice a circle zone appear... not on kde. Also when i'm using loop cut(midpoint), I'm unable to show what I do.

hum ^^ so i'll send you two screenshot links in the next mail(because I'm not a Shakespear narator)

the first on gnome and the second .... on kde4 of course.

oups,

I'm sorry, it's unable to take screenshot, because screenshot apply removes selection tool in blender.... sorry

Does disabling the desktop effects (right click on any window -> Configure windows -> Effects) help or remove the problem?
Comment 3 manolis 2008-01-27 09:58:20 UTC
Confirmed also in my system the problem...
Selecting B B (circle zone) and the pressing anything doesn't change the tool, it stays at the circle selection.
I have to right click on an empty place on the viewport, or move my mouse outside blender to another app, to restore the mouse functionality and eliminate the circle zone selection.

You can create screenshots when you set a timeout in KSnapshot.
Comment 5 FiNeX 2008-11-24 17:23:27 UTC
@Manolis, @Jerome: are you still experiencing this issue? What happens disabling desktop effects? As lubos said, you can use ksnapshot with a "timeout" value in order to take the screenshot.

Your feedback would be very appreciated :-)

Hello ^^

1 year have passed since this bug has been repported. I've uninstalled kde4, so i'll re-install it to show if the bug persist.

I'll send you feedback in the month I hope ;)

B B shows fine the circle.
And escape cancels it fine.
