Version: (using KDE 4.0.0) http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/Plasma/FAQ#How_do_I_remove_widgets.3F I find it too easy to delete all instances of a specific widget type by clicking on the minus symbol in the Add Widget dialog. There is no "safety question" that prevents a user to delete too much "icons" at once. A reference counter is displayed. ⇒ I would like to be able to select candidates for removal from a list box.
This option has disappeared in trunk, so this problem is no longer relevant
http://userbase.kde.org/Plasma/FAQ#How_do_I_remove_widgets.3F I see that the behaviour has not changed in my KDE 4.2.4. I can drag a couple of XEyes or Bballs to my desktop for example so that the reference counter is displayed. These plasmoids vanish without confirmation if I click on the red minus symbol.
Since there is a new way to add widgets now, this option is no longer present, thus this bug is fixed.
(In reply to comment #3) I do not see a corresponding improvement in KDE 4.3.5. http://userbase.kde.org/Plasma/FAQ/4.4/Configuration#How_do_I_remove_widgets.3F
The wiki page is wrong, and kde 4.3.5 is outdated.
