Description José Santos 2008-01-22 00:35:01 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

After removing ~/.kde4 folder on openSUSE 10.3, and updating to the latest KDE4 from openSUSE Buildservice, the plasma panel now has 3 icons next to Kickoff icon.

'Show desktop' icon works, while clicking on Konqueror and Dolphin icons produce no result.

It is my first bug report, so apologise me.. The platform isnt Compiled Sources as mentioned in the report description, I am just using kde4 RPM packages from openSUSE 10.3.

the normal kde panel doesn't have any icons there; suse must have added them.
this probably means you'll have to ask *them* why they don't work.

Those are normal icon plasmoids on the panel, and they do work for me.

A bit late here, but this sounds more like a duplicate of bug #155413 to me, one about panel icons not responding to single-clicks when you've set a preference to "double-click to open files and folders". I found that bug and this while looking because I myself was clicking on the panel icons, wondering why nothing was happening, after setting that preference (and going through considerable non-KDE grief in between, so it wasn't fresh in my mind). So I thought it might be nice to have a pointer to that other one, in case someone in the future finds this one by query.
