Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources I really love the feature of the clock in KDE 3 that when I put my mouse pointer over it, a tooltip appears showing the date. I would be really nice if this feature could be implemented also for the plasma clock applets in KDE 4. Also I think, it may be sometimes useful if it could show the UTC the equivalent of the local time. (I would suggest to make it configurable. Perhaps the user might want to be able to see the time in several time zones, for example if he works for a company which main office is in another country ) I know that there is a setting there for make it showing the date, but I think that mostly one needs to know the current local time and only sometimes one really needs to get some additional information, such as the date or the UTC equivalent. In my opinion the clock application in KDE 3 was really great (fully featured and configurable). I would suggest try to mimic it rather than replace it by something completely different.

I was expecting to find UTC listed as one of the "time zones" and was surprised to not find it listed. I see that this is still not fixed as of 4.0.81 which I build yesterday.
I fixed this bug partly in commit 856465: http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-commits&m=122039353019135&w=2 This commit added displaying time and date of all selected timezones in tooltip. The second thing (lack of UTC) is duplicate of bug #164383
