Description Raúl 2008-01-19 01:00:19 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages
OS: Linux

As you can see in the attached screenshot sometimes the text boxes on the web forms are not visible in some situations. In the screenshot you will recognise one of the steps of a new bug form.

This problem doesn't happen to text boxes with focus, but when the text box doesn't have the focus.

Can you reproduce the problem using another widget style than Oxygen?

Screenshot with plastic widget style. Problem not found.

Indeed it looked an oxygen widget style problem.

I can't confirm - i see the text boxes just fine (with oxygen style)

It doesn't seem like you have a special colorscheme or anything so i'm confused, and don't really know how to proceed in trying to fix it.

So? anything I could do? any info I should provide?

Maybe try it out with various colorschemes and see if a pattern emerges.

I'll let you know (here) if I have further questions, but otherwise you need to drive this investigation yourself.

One way would be to come to #oxygen for a more intense search. Not sure it will help though :(

Artifact on text box,

I'm now on 4.0.1. I can't say that the situation has improved but I can see a
change. If you take a look at this screenshot you will see that there is a
partial draw of the text box. I also can see the surrounding text box line when
I have the focus on the text box, and even if I change to another item the line
is still visible.

Do you think this could be a redrawing problem?

BTW, I'm using kwin effects on an intel video card.

Thanks.
