I just tried gwenview from KDE 4.1 Beta, but I didn't find option to use wheel mouse for browsing images. Is it there? If not, why? This is the only thing that keeping me from using new gwenview.

It's there. Open the configuration dialog and change "Mouse wheel behavior" from "Scroll" to "Browse".

Ok, sorry. It appears that I'm just stupid:], because there's simply no new gwenview yet in Kubuntu's KDE4.1Beta1 testing packages and I was just still using the old one. Sorry for that.
