Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8) Installed from: Debian stable Packages I write most in Spanish and German. Therefore I set unicode (utf-8) or occidental european iso-8859-15. I like better auto or utf-8 because then I have not to switch between codes so often. Well, auto doesn't work, and a punctual setting don't remain fixed.
I think in KDEPIM 4.6 beta 5 there is no auto anymore. You can set a list of Codecs and it will apply the first, that fits.
Correct, there's no more 'auto' in KMail2.
