Version: (using KDE KDE 4.0.0) Installed from: Fedora RPMs OS: Linux In Fedora Core distributions, network setup usually is done with the 'system-config-network' tool which is a Redhat tool. With the 'system-config-network' tool you can create and make active multiple virtual network devices connected to a single physical network adapter. If you do create multiple virtual devices and build a network around them then attempt to configure the network settings in konqueror's kcm_knetworkcomfmodule you will receive the unpleasant surprise of disabling all but one of your aliased network devices. The end result of which is that all IP addresses attached to them won't be active or accessible on your network. As a side result obviously, all services that depend on those addresses won't work.
maybe this can be an idea to knetworkmanager. reassigning.
This is not networkmanager's problem - if netpref disables your aliases, it needs fixing there.
