AppletHandle does indeed call Applet::showConfigurationInterface, but *not* in AppletHandle::paint, as the backtrace is showing in frames 7 and 8. this actually looks like a binary incompatibility issue as BC is open in 4.1 and there was just such a commit yesterday. please rebuild workspace/ and any applets you have from extragear. do you remember which applet it was that you dragged?

something that wasn't an applet sent an event to Containment::sceneEventFilter. this triggers a Q_ASSERT there; in production builds this would just return harmlessly due to the if() on the next line, but it's there to help us catch issues like this. what was happening when the abort happened? (and likely this isn't related, no =)

Sorry, I don't know the lingo :) Taskbar is what I meant. Shoulda taken 5s and googled it. I will update all again tomorrow (I just got done doing it today).
