Description daniel frenzel 2008-01-12 17:49:52 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 4.0.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc 4
OS: Linux

whenever a key gets pressed the panel plugins (pager) gets displayed or not -> flickering
the clock gets invisible etc..

There's no more kdesktop and kicker in KDE 4, only plasma.
Comment 2 Jason Stubbs 2008-01-12 18:50:45 UTC
I don't get flickering, but I do get bad painting. For example, the toolbox becomes completely garbled when firefox has focus. This is an xorg bug or a video driver bug though so there's nothing that can be done in plasma.

there are two sets of issues: argb things (jstubbs is correct there on the manageability of those) and unecessary repaints triggered which has been fixed in both trunk and branch.
