Version: (using KDE KDE 4.0.0) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux On the kicker panel of KDE4 with a screen resolution of 1280x1024 I'm having a problem with the name of applications opened. When the name of the application is very long (and because the high of the taskbar is fixed) the name is taking three lines of text and the third one is cut off making it difficult to read and not looking good.
Can you suggest an alternative to how long names should be displayed? They are cut off in every taskbar implementation I've ever seen.. That's what tooltips are for.
Sorry I may not be clear enough, the text it's not cut off horizontally, it's cut off vertically so I can see the whole name long but I can't figure out the words without some imagination. The suggestion will be to cut the name if the three lines don't completely fit on the task bar, in this case to two lines.
yes, this is a known issue. we're investigating as it may be fixed in Qt 4.4
I've fixed it on friday. See Bug 156784. Closing bug Should I backport it?
