KDE4 from Kubuntu Gutsy ppa repositories,

I can't use Konqueror for web browsing because it doesn't want open url. I always do "save link as".

When i tried to launch it from a console It crash X server :D SO I can't report another messages ...

I erased all ~/.kde4, I just did an upgrade from kubuntu ppa repository but Konqueror always want open all web file with another program or save on the disk !

With a totaly new user and empty user directory, there is no this behavior.

On my kde3 session, I tuned for open my folders with konqueror (I don't want using dolphin :/) and I have same behavior. Can I think kde4 take my kde3 configuration ?

This bug has been fixed in the Kubuntu packages for Hardy (development version).

It seems that "there is no default setting for the html mimetype which means it applies the "ask whether to save" and the "open in application" settings, which is actually the cause for this issue."
See the bug reported in launchpad at https://launchpad.net/bugs/188498 - I've just attached the used patch for this there, please check if it applies to KDE in general.

Thank you.

That's a Kubuntu bug and it was resolved ( ref: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdebase-kde4/+bug/188498/comments/6 ).

Closing.
