Version: (using KDE Devel) Kickoff remembers the last opened menu and submenu. This is annoying, as you usually don't want to start two applications from Graphics one after the other, but probably one from Graphics, one from System, etc. I was many time confused to not see the main menu tree but a submenu when I clicked on the menu icon. It should also not remember the main tabs (Favorites, Applications, etc.) but start from a predefined one, so the behavior is predictable.

this is fixed in 4.0.1. The favorite-tab is always the first one displayed. Thanks for the feedback!
Unfortunately I need to reopen. Yes, it starts with the Favorites (it is visible BTW how it switched to Favorites after you click on the icon), but if you click on Applications, it remains in the last submenu selected.
Not here with current trunk, it always switches to the Favorites tab ... :?
Yes, but click after that to the Application's tab. If previosuly you started eg. Konqueror from Internet->Web Browser->Konqueror, now you will see just the web browsers, not the complete menu (you have to go out of the menu).<html><head><meta name="qrichtext" content="1" /><style type="text/css"> p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } </style></head><body style=" font-family:'Sans Serif'; font-size:10pt; font-weight:400; font-style:normal;"> <p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px;">Yes, but click after that to the Application's tab. oh, true. Sorry for missreading the report :-/ Well, now it is really fixed (at least I hope so, heh), thanks András :)
It's ok now, thank you!<html><head><meta name="qrichtext" content="1" /><style type="text/css"> p, li { white-space: pre-wrap; } </style></head><body style=" font-family:'Sans Serif'; font-size:10pt; font-weight:400; font-style:normal;"> <p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px;">It's ok now, thank you!</p></body></html>
This issue appeared again in trunk. :( Please add an option to start from the first tab in case you really want to keep the functionality that remembers where you've been last time in the menu.
Today it works.
