When I add lancelot plasmoid to the panel and hover the mouse over, the menu appears in the corner top-left of the screen.

Lancelot is pre-alfa software*, please don't file bugs about it yet. (* to quote Amarok guys)

Then why is it in extragear? It should be moved to playground if it's pre-alpha software.

Because Aaron said so. It will be moved in the eventuality it doesn't get done for 4.1
