I can't reproduce this bug. Is it 100% reproducible for you? Can you provide the necessary steps?

hmm have you run it under plugins menu?

Angelo
Comment 3 Oleg Atamanenko 2008-01-11 11:48:48 UTC
Hmm, I'll try to reproduce it. I did following: I have downloaded version of art.gnome.org (about 3,5 gigs of pictures), it has different resolutions of the same pictures.

I'll try to clear thumbnails cache and search duplicate again.
Comment 4 Oleg Atamanenko 2008-01-11 11:50:57 UTC
Yes, I run it under plugins menu
Comment 5 Angelo Naselli 2008-01-11 13:16:23 UTC
Aurelien, in the case it should be a kipi-plugins issue.

Yes, I think you are right.
Comment 7 Angelo Naselli 2008-01-12 13:56:24 UTC
Oleg which version of kipi-plugins are you using?
Comment 8 Oleg Atamanenko 2008-01-12 14:53:17 UTC
zsh 1040 % LANG=en apt-cache policy kipi-plugins
kipi-plugins:
  Installed: 0.1.4-1+b3
Comment 9 Oleg Atamanenko 2008-01-12 15:12:04 UTC
I tried to reproduce the problem again. I cleaned ~/.thumbnails and ~/.kde/cache*/kipi-findduplicate folders and tried to find duplicates again. All was fine.

By the way, why find duplicates plugin cannot create fingerprints for some files?
Comment 10 Angelo Naselli 2008-01-13 15:37:51 UTC
gilles?

no idea why...

This plugin use Qt API to open images. So the image loader is limited to file format supported by Qt.

So, do you have any idea why gwenview crashed? If no then I think you can close the bug. Of course, if you know what was wrong - you can fix it :)

I checked images - they are broken, gwenview doesn't show them too, so it is not an issue.

Offtop: where can I find the roadmap of gwenview for KDE4?

were there any movies into your directory?

Gwenview is now part of kde-graphics so the roadmap is the one of kde4 ;)
Comment 14 Oleg Atamanenko 2008-01-14 03:09:22 UTC
No, there were several archives (tar.gz) and .svg files in the folder.

Gilles, could it be a problem for the plugin?
Comment 16 Raúl 2008-02-06 16:37:29 UTC
I also got this crash which looks like the same as http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=120522

Debian testing/unstable, kde 3.5.8, gwenview 1.4.2. Linux 2.6.24

I had a video on my home dir so, the xine plugin come in at gwenview start. Then I went to /usr/share/openclipart/png/people/ in there I double click on a folder and gwenview crashed.

I have been unable to repeat the crash so far.

Merging with bug 120522.

Not reproducible using digiKam 7.0.0 beta1.
