Description Jonathan Thomas 2008-01-07 16:06:23 UTC
Version: (using KDE Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

The bottom part of lower case 'g's are cut off in application names in Kicker. Well, I suppose more accurately it would be the generic app names that this happens with. The small descriptions under the names work ok. This is probably a bit nitpicky, but it's still a bug. :P
This also happens with lowercase 'q's, 'y's and 'j's too.

That doesn't happen here. Can you provide the following:

- a screenshot illustrating the problem
- relevant version (KDE version, maybe svn revision)
- Settings (which font do you use?)

svn 756095

General: Sans Serif 12
Fixed: Monospace 12
All the others are Sans Serif 10 except for Window titles which is nine.
Comment 3 George Goldberg 2008-01-10 03:54:40 UTC
I can't reproduce that problem on svn trunk rev. 758533 using the font settings you specified.

Comment 5 András Manţia 2008-01-10 08:19:57 UTC
As I wrote in 155375, the top part is also missing. I use the default fonts: Sans Serif (10, 9, 8 sizes).
Comment 6 S. Burmeister 2008-01-10 11:03:25 UTC
Maybe different dpi-settings?
Comment 7 Jonathan Thomas 2008-01-10 19:44:31 UTC
I'm not getting my problem nor Andras's problem in 4.0.0, but I'll wait on marking this resolved.
Comment 8 András Manţia 2008-01-10 19:56:33 UTC
So just for the record, I have this X settings:
1600x1200
127x127dpi
32bit

I run openSUSE 10.3.
