Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources As indicated by the requirement of this feature http://www.digikam.org/?q=node/287 using a library is preferred over using a loosly coupled executable (dcraw). Please consider supporting and eventually switching completely to libopenraw; http://libopenraw.freedesktop.org/wiki/
Really... libopenraw only support 10% of libkdcraw features ! All planned libopenraw features are already done in libkdcraw. So, there is no way to toogle to libopenraw. Thomas, back here into around 5 years when libopenraw will be more mature. Also, i recommend libopenraw to ask with Dave Coffin to include/maintain/add directly dcraw code in core of library. This will be a real progress to RAW decoding under Linux. libkdcraw have been developped to make a C++ library interface around dcraw, not to fork Dave Coffin code. It's a waste of time to re-invent the wheel and we don't have more time to re-implement dcraw has a pure library ! This is a major problem of opensource to not group developers around the same project instead to work individually on the same subject. So libkdcraw is perfect for digiKam & co... Best Gilles Caulier
