Version: 0.9.3-rc1 (using KDE 3.5.7, Gentoo) Compiler: Target: x86_64-pc-linux-gnu OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.23-gentoo-r3 I have big screen 2560x1600. if I maximise editor window or remove panels from right and left sides in main window the picture size become small (looks like overflow size variable but I have not checked sources) The bug is known for me from 0.9.1 (i.e. first version I tried) and do not depend on 32/64 bit build.
Here is picture: http://flickr.com/photo_zoom.gne?id=2130205241&size=o Sometimes to hit the bug you need open miximize edit window then close digikam, and open again.
Sanja, maybe this problem is related to the bug #148805 ? But you are using KDE, right? Andi
> I'll attach this comment from Oleksandr (original reporter of this bugreport) in here: The effect is the same and for both editor window and main window (as soon as picture (or place for pictures if it is main window with thumbnails) reaches some limit, which can be reached for main window if you close tabs from both sides) it become much smaller). Yes I use KDE (so I think the bug #148805 was closed incorrectly). I do not use OpenGL effects for desktop. The bug was present on old versions of KDE/digikam and is present now: # digikam --version Qt: 3.3.8b KDE: 3.5.9 digiKam: 0.9.4 Do not hesistate to ask for some help in debugging or testing (I never worked with GUI, but I am programmer (I am working for MySQL)) so I know how it is important to check what is going on at the place where problem appeared but of course do not know what to check in this particular program and have no time to dig in it from scratch.
Sanja, Can you reproduce this problem with digiKam 0.9.4 or 0.10.0 ? Gilles Caulier
As I wrote above it is _repeatable_ on 0.9.4. A was not able to reproduce it on 0.10.0 (0.10.0-beta2) (which full of other bugs and glitches but not this one).
Thanks for the report. So i close it as fixed with KDE4 port. Gilles Caulier
