Description Maciej Pilichowski 2007-12-23 09:29:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

First of all, let's patent this before MS does :-)))

And here is the revolutionary(tm) idea. It would be great to see using scrollwheel within menus. Duplicate of:

?

Not at all. The key point is -- the scrollwheel does not change item selection as everybody used to. It scrolls entire menu (yes, that's right, the menu is moving up and down). After all the menu is just content so it is consistent and good analogy to scrolling for example listboxes. Every app with menus would benefit from such behaviour. And there is another advantage of such UI -- users (think: handicapped people) would not move mouse too much -- only left and right (to get to/from submenus).

For users without scrollwheel MMB could be used, however impact of this would be not that useful as with scrollwheel.

Menu handling is done by Qt classes.
