Version: (using KDE KDE 3.97.0) And I guess this was the basic idea to see all apps. I only see windows from current desktop, as if they are shown in zoom in (normal) mode.
plasma controls the desktop, not the windows. perhaps you're looking for kwin's 'expose' effect.
Yes indeed. I was sure it works that way. I see no use in showing only applets from desktop1 zoomed out, but either I am missing something or something does not work yet.

Chani thanks, but still I have no clue what that should mean and what zoom out does. I can only see it is zooming out the wallpaper from desktop 1 plus applets. This is by design, yes? What is the aim then?
there will be other desktop containments, where you can put other applets, instead of white space. then you'll be able to zoom into one of them. that way you can keep different groups of applets, and switch between them.
Chani -- do you know any site I could read more about it? I don't want to take too much your time. Anyway, it seems that it purpose is applet only zoom in/out then its usefulness is limited. Hmm, very, if you compare it to Kompose/Expose. Integrating such model into KDE would be a killer-feature. IMHO of course.

IMHO of course. kwin already has an 'expose' feature that's probably what you were expecting. if you have composite turned on, just push your mouse into the top-left corner and you should see all your windows.
Chani, thanks a lot! Now I get it (the second link). The expose feature does not work for me (RC2) now because I use live version and I don't have (I guess) composite turned on.
