Description Paul Pitt 2007-12-21 18:16:09 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.5)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Trying to add todo's to the list is very tricky business. First, when you create a todo, it creates duplicate copies. If you delete those entries and attempt to retype, it notifies you that it failed to create a new entry. If you delete one of the duplicates it would appear normal: you can edit it, change priorities, etc. But after closing and reopening kontact, the todo is gone.

I cannot reproduce this in Kontact 1.2.5 on Ubuntu. Could you give step-by-step so that I can try to reproduce?

You're using a different version than myself, so maybe I should just attempt to update and see if it corrects the problem.

I'm not doing anything crazy, just opening Kontact and going to the to-do portion. I right-click and tell it to create a new to-do. I give it a name and a location and click ok. Afterwards there are two instances of the same to do in the menu.

I also encounter this bug in Kontact 1.2.9
Installed from: Ubuntu repositories
OS: Linux (ppc) release 2.6.24-22-powerpc
KDE 3.5.1

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 7 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 21:35:21 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
