Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux It would be very practical when one could drag icons/files from the desktop into programs (like dragging music files into the playlist of Amarok) or back into the dolphin window. People will expect them to behave like that. Now, if you drag a file from the desktop to a program, it gets dragged behind it.
It's on the TODO list. Available in 4.1 (current trunk) with the new folder view applet
With 4.1 just around the corner, it's time to close off 4.0 bugs. In the off chance that I'm wrong in believing this to be fixed in 4.1, please reopen. :) Specifically, the folder view behaves as you would expect, but any "files" you have directly on the desktop are actually quick launchers and thus don't behave like files at all.
