My (reported) trash folder size grew to 152.4 MB. I emptied the trash folder. The reported size was still 152.4 MB. I quit kmail, and restarted it. The reported size of "trash" was still 152.4 MB. I used the menu entry "Local Folders" -> "Compact all folders". The reported size of "trash" was still 152.4 MB. I used the menu entry "trash" -> "Compact folder".
