Description Luiz Angelo De Luca 2007-12-10 18:11:16 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.96.0)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

Just grab an applet, move it to the next screen and it stops moving because it looses the grab.
Comment 1 Aaron J. Seigo 2007-12-10 18:23:25 UTC
already fixed in svn.

I'll wait a litte more but I still got this error on current Suse snapshot (RC2-3.97.00)

Don't know if this the same issue, or it was also resolved with the fix, But I was also able to lose "grab" by trying to move a widget through the Add Widgets dialog menu.
Comment 4 Luiz Angelo De Luca 2007-12-14 18:44:01 UTC
I still got it even on current SVN
Comment 5 Jason Stubbs 2007-12-21 13:44:32 UTC
Is the issue where the grab is lost when moving through xinerama displays still an issue? Not being able to move it under the "Add widgets" dialog is a Qt limitation which plasma can't do much about.

Right now it works fine here, using the latest suse-build.
Comment 7 Adam Tulinius 2007-12-23 12:03:52 UTC
I was to fast on that one.

1) i opened the add widgets dialog
2) added an analog clock

And it was perfectly draggable from one screen to the other, and back again, several times.

then i 3) Closed the add widgets dialog, repeated steps 1+2, but this time it didn't work.
As soon as I stop moving the mouse (ie. the widget stops a short moment), it is "lost" and I need to start dragging it again. And no, i don't releast the left mouse-button.

Please reopen bug.
This is reproducible in current KDE 4.0 release. Drag the clock as describe above a bit faster (even on 1 screen). If it still doesn't want to loose grab.. then drag faster.

Yeah, but can you reproduce it on current svn? I can't (build yesterday), no matter how fast I drag.

I do get some weird effects when dropping the widgets though.
