Description Vinzent Steinberg 2007-12-09 22:46:27 UTC
Version:           0.5.93 (using KDE 3.96.3 (KDE 4.0 >= 20071120), compiled sources)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.13-0.3-default

Try for example this large and complex document:

http://axiom-wiki.newsynthesis.org/public/book2.pdf

Double-click on a chapter using the sidebar. Okular won't show another page than the first, instead of showing the corresponding page.

Cannot reproduce here.
Which poppler version are you using?
Comment 2 Vinzent Steinberg 2007-12-09 23:14:48 UTC
I'm using poppler 0.5.4-102.2 on openSUSE 10.3 with kde4 build service packages.

There is also libpoppler2 0.6-4.1, but this doesn't seem to be used by qt4 or something else related to kde 4.

Screenshot of the bug using http://axiom-wiki.newsynthesis.org/public/book2.pdf

Taken after having double-clicked on "Example: Berno..."
Please note the page number (415) and the fact that page 1 is shown instead.
Clicking on the next page button (">") works well (page 416 is shown).
Comment 4 Pino Toscano 2007-12-10 00:28:40 UTC
Downgraded to poppler 0.5.4, still cannot reproduce.

Does this problem happen with other PDFs as well?
Comment 5 Vinzent Steinberg 2007-12-10 21:35:18 UTC
Tried it with:

http://www.valgrind.org/docs/manual/valgrind_manual.pdf

The problem did not occur, but this document is not as large as the other one.
Unfortunately I do not know another PDF with similar size (~1000 pages).

Are sure it's something with poppler? There are no issues with rendering, you can even "fix" the problem manually with clicking on the next page and the previous page button.
Comment 6 Vinzent Steinberg 2007-12-10 21:44:20 UTC
Strangely the problem does not occur under certain conditions which I could not yet figure out...
Comment 7 Vinzent Steinberg 2008-01-29 17:26:43 UTC
Cannot reproduce anymore with Okular 0.6. Seems to be fixed.
Comment 8 Vinzent Steinberg 2008-01-29 17:27:26 UTC
Resolved.
