This is some kind of usability thing:
If i choose to use the Leave menu for logging out or shutdown, i would expect to get the action i select.

The only one that acts like this is Lock.

Logout, Shutdown and Restart just shows me again the normal logout menu.
That is some kind of stupid.
Offer one button that shows the logout menu or do the action the Leave menu offers.
