Description Nils Siebel 2007-12-02 13:38:27 UTC
Version: 1.13 (using KDE 3.5.7 "release 72.2" , openSUSE 10.3)
Compiler: Target: x86_64-suse-linux
OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.22.12-0.1-default

When the disc title or other fields contain an exclamation mark "!" it is not escaped/backslashified as "\!" when lame is called in a subprocess. Therefore encoding fails because the shell (/bin/tcsh in my case) tries to interpret the "!".

This may well happen with other special characters and other encoders, too.
