Description Jake 2007-11-30 04:57:15 UTC
Version: 0.9.1 (using KDE KDE 3.5.6)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

How to Reproduce:
Album --> Export --> Remote Gallery Sync
We have a gallery configured something like this:
Name: My Name
URL: http://www.mysite.net/gallery/main.php
Username: admin
Password: ______
Select it, then click button "Open".
Gallery Export Window opens without visible trouble. However, there are no items in the Album field, when there should, in fact be two albums already in existence on the server (named "foo" and "bar" respectively). Also, clicking on "New Album" button, entering information in the three fields of the modal dialog, and clicking OK yields the following error:
"Failed to create new album".

Was unable to get any backtrace to debug this.

Expected Behavior:
In the "Gallery Export" Dialog, Albums should be populated with albums already existing on the server.
"New Album" should allow me to create a New Album on the server.

Forgot to mention: works fine in Gallery Remote 1.5.1-b34 (http://gallery.menalto.com/wiki/Gallery_Remote). I believe this should confirm that the server is not at fault.

What version of the kipi plugins are you using. I suspect this is a dup of the old and fixed: bug #142259 (see comment 15).
Comment 3 Jake 2007-11-30 15:11:43 UTC
I'm using whatever comes packed with Kubuntu 7.04. Could you please tell me how to check the version of the kipi plugins?
Comment 4 Colin Guthrie 2007-11-30 15:22:39 UTC
Using digikam (I think that's where you came from). It should tell you in Help->About. Otherwise go to Tools->Configure and it should tell you in the kipi plugins section.

Just hunt around for it if it's not in there. Or check your distros package management tool which shoudl also tell you.

Kipi plugins version 0.1.5
Comment 6 Jake 2007-12-01 04:40:30 UTC
Actually, it's weird.
digiKam --> About says that Kipi plugins are version 0.1.5
But apt says that Kipi plugins are version 0.1.3
Comment 7 Jake 2007-12-01 04:52:49 UTC
Upgraded to version 0.1.4ach0feisty1 from digiKam repository here: http://www.digikam.org/?q=download/binary/
Export to Gallery now works!

Hi Frédéric,

The way to add (create) new album in tree-view hierarchy is missing on the Piwigo plugin.

Did you plan to add this important feature ?

Best regards

Gilles Caulier

@Ashutosh Jha : the ''assignee" peopertie must be set to a special value to CC automatically to all team member. You are in CC list in all cases....

Hi Gilles,

(In reply to caulier.gilles from comment #8)

I'm sorry but unfortunately, I don't plan to spend time on the Piwigo plugin in the near future...
