Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux If you open a music-file's properties, there is a preview-tab. First, the mute/unmute button is too small and hence the user does not know what it does. Second and even worse, if one mutes the sound the icon looks the same as before, i.e. toggling does not set any visible change.
This feature seems removed from current trunk. @Peter: am I wrong, or some months ago this feature was present in KDE4?
> @Peter: am I wrong, or some months ago this feature was present in KDE4? I don't know, the code for this is in KPropertiesDialog (= kdelibs) and I was not even aware that there is (was?) a mute/unmute button for music files in there :-) If I remember correctly (when I did some coding in the file dialog), then this should be a kind of plugin - maybe it has just not been ported yet to KDE 4? I'd propose to change the product to kdelibs (I cannot take over this task currently, as it is already difficult for me to fix the Dolphin related issues in time...).
Ok, thanks Peter!
Clicking on the mute button I get a red X cross that indicates the muted state. If there are remaining issues with the "kfileaudiopreview", please file a bug to Phonon developers.
