Description Torquil Macdonald Sørensen 2007-11-20 00:03:55 UTC
Version:           1.4.7 (using KDE 3.5.8, Debian Package 4:3.5.8.dfsg.1-4 (lenny/sid))
Compiler:          Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-3-686

When trying to add the OGG file type in "Configure Media Device" dialog window, "&ogg" appears on the list, not "ogg". After clicking "OK" and then reopening the dialog, "&ogg" is missing from the list. So it is not possible to transfer OGG files to my media device.

I could, however, fix everything by editing ~/.kde/share/config/amarokrc, changing

supportedFiletypes=&ogg, mp3

to

supportedFiletypes=ogg, mp3

after which everything worked perfectly (ie. transfer of OGG files to device).

Media player: Samsung YP-K5 (as USB mass storage device).

Best regards,
Torquil Sørensen

I have experienced this very same problem. It does not appear to be media device dependent since I have a Cowon iAudio 7. All file formats, except mp3 (default) and acc, appear with the '&' symbol.

Editing, the above mentioned file, fixed the problem.

Good Luck,
Stephen
