Version: unknown (using KDE 3.5.6, Kubuntu (feisty) 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu14.1) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.20-16-generic 1. check if kdesystraproxy is loaded with: "dcop kded kded loadedModules" Yup. 2. Start trayer 3. Start amarok via commandline (amarokapp) Expected behavior: Amarok appears in trayer Actual behavior: Nothing appears in trayer
When using GNOME, Amarok does appear in GNOME's tray, so kdetrayproxy apparently does something. Therefore I suspect a trayer bug, and even if it is not, we still won't debug 3rd party applications, sorry. I suggest you report the problem to trayer developers. If they can confirm the problem is in KDE (and say what the problem is), please reopen and provide the additional info.
