Description Chris van de Wouw 2007-11-19 16:35:31 UTC
Version: (using KDE KDE 3.5.8)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

When clicking a link in a received mail, the url request is done twice. I don't know what the first request does, but the second request is opened in the browser. This can cause unexpected behaviour when clicking on eg. confirmation links that only require a single click and prompts an error on the second request.

Steps to reproduce:
- Make sure you have access to a machine with apache and its logfiles, eg. localhost
- send a mail to yourself, including a link to a file on the apache machine, eg. http://localhost/index.html
- wait for the mail ;-)
- click _one_ time on the link.
- view /var/log/apache2/access.log

There will be two access entries of the request. At least for me at two machines (Kubuntu 6.10, KDE 3.5.5; Kubuntu 7.10, KDE 3.5.8)
