Version:           1.2.4 (enterprise 0.20071012.724442) (using KDE 3.5.8-7.fc7 Fedora, Fedora release 7 (Moonshine))
Compiler:          Target: i386-redhat-linux

After doing a yum update on my Fedora 7 workstation, I am seeing the text "%1" displayed in front of the first attachment icon when displaying a message with attachments with the fancy headers option enabled.

Try updating. This version you are using is work-in-progress, I don't have the problem with a newer version.

fwiw, this is seen from a kdepim-enterprise 20071013 snapshot.
