Version: (using KDE Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux It should be very useful adding an option for enabling/disabling the menu bar on Dolphin as Konqueror already do!
Hmm, I did not add this option on purpose because I don't see a usecase for adding it. Just for interest: why is it needed for a file manager hiding the menu-bar? The only use case I see are for full-screen-applications like an image-viewer. Anyway I've set the status to NEW, so that maybe other people can give their input on this topic too. For sure if enough people complain about this, I'll add this entry... :-)
For example I'm using konqueror without the menu bar: the 90% of common usage of a file manager can be done without the menu bar. Removing the menu bar means having less visual distraction, for my type of using it (more shortcuts, less menu).

hehe, so you finally gave up on this one Peter :)
@Stefan: ;-) If I remember correctly you've been the first one wishing this feature for the KDE 3 version of Dolphin. Maybe I should listen more carefully for your input in future :-)
